1 · Load PSU's Draft template
The template arrives as last year's sections rolled forward with fresh CRNs, so it doubles as the reference schedule — no Cognos exports needed. Its XLST column supplies the crosslist grouping.
1 · Load the PSU Course List with Enrollments report
The "1 Line Per CRN" tab of PSU's Cognos export, exactly as downloaded. Only HSMP, PE, PHE, PUBH and their SOPH crosslist rows are audited — everything else in the file is ignored.
Generate the public posting sheet
Builds the "Course Prefix / Course Number / Course Title / Cr. / Course Format / Days / Time / Restrictions" sheet in the same layout used for posting to the web, for the term and level selected above. Undergraduate and graduate/both-level courses with a dual course number are split or combined per the school's posting convention; courses with no offering in the selected term are omitted.
ConvergeSPH
The OHSU-PSU School of Public Health's Academic Operations Platform. ConvergeSPH currently manages course scheduling and offerings across both institutions, plus a faculty directory with tiered access. Below is what's planned next.
Faculty Operations
- Faculty Documents — Categorized document references (HR, promotion, wages, reviews) linked directly to their SharePoint location. Access follows existing SharePoint permissions.
- OHSU Annual Review — End-to-end tracking of the annual review process: faculty submissions, dossier and CV, Dean feedback, supervisor meetings and sign-off, and final signatures, visible on the faculty profile as it happens.
- Adjunct Tracking — Automatic flagging when PSU adjuncts cross credit-hour thresholds for contract eligibility or administrative review, tracked over their respective rolling periods. Flags filterable across the faculty directory.
- Committee Assignment & Tracking — Rules-based staffing for SPH committees, each with configurable membership requirements. Surfaces expiring terms, unplaced new faculty, member requests, and understaffed committees.
Curriculum
- Course Objectives — Objectives and syllabi added directly to course detail pages, with future mapping of specific objectives to specific assessments.
- Course History — A running record of curricular changes over time, including in-progress changes and access to their submission documents.
Programs & Competencies
- Program Module — Introduces Programs as a structure above courses, with courses tagged as required, elective, culminating, or other.
- CEPH Competencies — Filter and map courses (and specific assessments) to CEPH accreditation competencies, at both the program and course level.
- SPH Competencies — The same competency-mapping structure, built for SPH-specific learning objectives.
